About

As a lifelong resident, I am proud to call Grafton my home. I was educated through the Grafton Public Schools and graduated from Grafton High School in 1987. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Assumption College. In 1994, I married  Roger Trahan and owned and operated Lori’s Floral Bouquet in Grafton. After I sold my business, I started my family and became a proud mom of my son, Blake.  Later, I earned my Master’s of Education Degree from Lesley University. Currently, I am an English as a Second Language teacher in the town of Webster.

The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.

Philosophy of Education

Lori's Philosophy

My philosophy of education is that I believe every student deserves a safe and supportive learning environment filled with challenging curriculum.

Education should develop critical thinking, and strong academic skills. Schools must always challenge students while also nurturing their curiosity, creativity, and character.

As a Grafton School Committee member, I believe in strong schools that are built through partnerships with families, educators and the community.

Collaboration and Teamwork

I have had much collaboration and teamwork experience.

Collaboration and teamwork is the key element in the skill set of being a teacher. A teacher collaborates with other educators to provide strategies for students to be successful.

As a business owner, teamwork is the key for success.

Curriculum development has given me the opportunity to use my leadership and teamwork skills.
